Technical Leads, Embedded Software - France
Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical specifications and architecture design of one or more components of our ip|engine software.
- Plan the implementation.
- Lead the implementation, in compliance with the development rules in place within the organization. The technical lead is responsible for the quality and timely delivery of the software s/he coordinates. Coordinate work between in-house developers, offshore developers and 3rd-party software providers where applicable.
- Manage and report on the software development schedule
- Ensure unit testing is designed, implemented and run throughout the development and stabilization phases.
- Ensure code verification tools are applied throughout the development and stabilization phases, where applicable.
- Ensure source code is properly documented, according to the standard practice in place within the organization.
- Lead the stabilization phase of the project
- Ensure 3rd level support on the components once they are deployed
Skills Required:
- C/C++ and Linux expertise (user and kernel space)
- multi-threaded, time-sensitive software development experience
- Good understanding of IP networking protocols
- Project planning and coordination
- Strong software architecture design and coding skills
- Strong problem solving and software debugging skills
- Very good learning abilities
- Good communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience with network stack implementation (e.g. TCP stack)
- Experience in embedded software development
Qualifications
- MSEE/CS combined with 5+ years of related experience, or BSEE/CS combined with 8+ yrs related experience
- Proven technical leadership
- Team management experience is a plus
