Team leader of Operations and Support - Based in US

Description:

Ipanema, a worldwide leading company in WAN Optimization, is currently seeking the team leader for its new US-based “Ipanema as a Service” Operation and Support organization.

Member of Ipanema’s international Customer Care team, you will interface with domestic and international Telcos and Integrators, as well as with enterprises all around the world. Working closely with the “as-a-Service” business unit, you will participate to the high quality service and satisfaction Ipanema provides to its customers and partners. Your day-to-day work implies the extensive use of up-to-date tools (Salesforce.com, chat, intranet and extranet, social media).

You are willing to learn and master the deepest aspects of WAN optimization. Tenacious, you are not afraid to deal with complex situations. Service oriented, you like to find practical solutions and reach concrete results. User satisfaction is one of your main motivations.

You will build and lead a team of 4+ engineers in charge of designing, building and running WAN optimization services for enterprises.

This position is based at our Waltham (MA) office, with a few travels to France (Paris area) for training, updates and company events (typically once or twice a year).


Main responsibilities:

  • Built the US team for “Ipanema as a Service”
  • Validate the technical and delivery aspect for new customers (“design”)
  • Provision the technology that is underlying to the service (“build”)
  • Ensure that customers requests (change, questions, problems) are properly and timely addressed (“run”)
  • Participate to writing and updating procedures and documentation around the service
  • Participate to operation productivity by defining relevant tools and methods

Senior Sales Engineer - Based in France (92)

Description:

Ipanema is looking for a resourceful and self-starting Sales Engineer (SE). The SE will:

  • Be willing to travel frequently to customer sites within North America, and to Europe for training and meetings
  • Work closely with Ipanema's North American account managers and presales colleagues world-wide
  • Be based in our Waltham, MA office and will report to the CTO North America


Main responsibilities:

The SE will be responsible for assessing the technical value of sales opportunities, which are initiated by the Account Managers and principals of Ipanema.  Specifically, the SE must:

  • Understand and be conversant with the company, its solutions, and products
  • Participate in pre- and post-sales customer meetings in person, via telephone and via Webex/LiveMeeting
  • Successfully design, configure, install and manage demos and pilots
  • Provide feedback to the product management team and serve as a customer advocate
  • Contribute to the completion of RFIs/RFPs in coordination with the sales team
  • Conduct product training for end-users and partners
  • Stay abreast of competitors and their products and be able to successfully position Ipanema’s solution
  • Travel as necessary to customer sites


Required skills and experience:

  • Background in one of (a) managed services for enterprises at a telco, ISP or MSP, (b) WAN application acceleration, or (c) enterprise network management
  • Solid knowledge of WAN and LAN network design
  • In depth knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol family, along with underlying transport mechanisms such as DSL, MPLS, carrier Ethernet, VLANs, routing and switching
  • Application behavior knowledge, including of some subset of CIFS, MAPI, Sharepoint, HTTP/SSL, VoIP, streaming video, Citrix, and SAP
  • Must be able to configure, administer and troubleshoot Solaris, Linux and Windows systems
  • Understanding of the 7-layer ISO protocol model
  • Advanced network and application troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication (written and oral) skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Enjoys working on a team

Marketing Database Manager - Based in France (92)

Description:

Part of the Customer Care department, your main responsibilities include:

  • To collect technical information within the R & D department;

Description:

Ipanema Technologies is currently seeking a Technical Support Engineer. You will be part of the Customer care team, work closely with R&D teams and bring a high quality service to our customers all around the world.

This position is based at our Waltham, MA office, only local candidates will be considered.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and provide workarounds/fixes to complex network problems
  • Solve complex technical problems and debug support cases while following best practices guidelines.
  • Ensure timely follow up and response to customers
  • Help improve future product releases by writing up defects and feature requests in the bug tracker database
  • Document known issues/fixes/workaround in knowledge base articles

Presales Engineer/ Senior Presales Engineer - Based in Houston, Texas

Description:

Ipanema Technologies is expanding in North America! As part of the expansion plans, we are looking for pre sales engineers based in Dallas, Texas.

The ideal candidate will be success driven, self-motivated and an experienced Presales Engineer/Senior Pre sales Engineer with excellent business understanding and outstanding network experience and knowledge.

The Presales Engineer (PSL) is a highly technical professional possessing in-depth knowledge of the networking industry as well as specialized knowledge of telecommunications. The PSE must demonstrate technical leadership and subject matter expertise on Ipanema Solutions, distributed networking architectures, WAN optimization strategies, and competitive offerings in the WAN product space. The PSL is a partner in the sales process, participates in the creation of sales strategy and tactics and takes ownership of technical responsibilities within customer and channel partner accounts. This includes presentations, account management, assisting customers and partners with evaluations and benchmarks, system configurations, and system installations. PSLs may also be called on to assist with trade shows and other marketing/lead generation events.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with sales executives to evangelize the value of our product to prospective customers
  • Translate technical features into tangible customer business benefits
  • Assume a lead role for the delivery of a network design proposal to customers to test the Ipanema Solution in their lab and/or network
  • Networking with technical contacts and build trust and relationships
  • Responsible for proper test and staging of demonstration environments prior to delivery to customer site
  • Work closely with Ipanema Sales to build an ROI case to close business
  • Contribute significant portions and/or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs and RFIs

Technical and Functional Skills Required:

  • Fluent in TCP/IP, network security, routers, L2-L3 switches, Wan optimization and routed protocols
  • Complete understanding of service offerings and implementations of Telco Services
  • Understanding of how QoS implementations work at the Router, WAN device and Service provider levels
  • Understanding of real time protocols and applications like VOIP and Videoconferencing
  • Expert level in Enterprise VPNs, network security and architecture
  • Expert understanding of managing, architecting, and maintaining VLANs, WANs, and LANs
  • Hands on troubleshooting, configuration and implementation


Required:

  • 5+ years hands on experience designing and managing complex network environments
  • Engineering degree or equivalent Engineering qualifications
  • Successful track record working on an incentive based sales plan
  • Ability to make effective technical presentations to senior technical staff at customers, partners and internally
  • Proven project management skills
  • Willing to travel, work odd hours, and be very available
  • Proven experience in a international company (English)
